Text and media area

The Text and media area (label) shows content directly on the course page, without students having to open anything. The AI generates an internal name and the visible content, used to organize and present the course section visually.

AI-generated settings

This element type emits no form settings: all Text and media area form settings keep their Moodle defaults. What the teacher influences from the prompt is the generated content.

Generated content

  • Content shown directly on the course page, plus a short internal name that identifies the element.
  • The generated content always corresponds to one of three allowed uses:
    • Visual organization: a heading, subtitle, or separator (for example, a unit heading with an HTML title, a subtitle, and a horizontal rule separating it from the previous block).
    • Brief section instructions.
    • Banner or multimedia.

Rules and behavior

  • The content must never include submission instructions, tasks, or questions: it is a visual or informative element, not a gradable activity.
  • Headings and separators must not carry long text.
  • Since the content is displayed directly on the course page, it must not contain literal bracketed placeholders such as [Nombre del Curso] or [Subtítulo de la Sección]: titles must be real, contextual text.

Example prompts

Without syllabus

A minimal request that produces a visual separator shown directly on the course page:

I need an element that visually separates the Fractions unit within the Basic Mathematics course, so that it is shown directly on the course page.

A unit heading with a subtitle and a visual separation (for example, a horizontal rule):

Put together a heading that opens unit 3 of the General Accounting course, titled "Financial statements", with a subtitle announcing that the practical exercises start from there and a line separating it from the previous block.

With syllabus

A unit heading whose texts come strictly from unit 2 of the source document:

Put together a heading that opens unit 2 of the syllabus I uploaded, titled "Change management and adaptation to technology", with a subtitle announcing that the cases on organizational change management and data governance start from there and a line separating it from the previous block.
