Enable subsections
Allows the AI course creator to organise course sections into subsections. It requires the Subsection activity module (mod_subsection) to be enabled.
- Default: off.
- When on, and the Subsection activity module is enabled, teachers see the Subsections option in the Creation options menu of the course creation page. See Create a course with AI.
- When off, or when the Subsection activity module is disabled, the Subsections option is not shown and the plugin tells the AI service that subsections are not available on the site. If a teacher's request asks for subsections, the assistant asks how to continue. See Create a course with AI.
The setting cannot be enabled while the Subsection activity module is disabled. If you check it and save in that case, the setting is saved as off and Moodle shows this error:
The AI subsections feature cannot be enabled because the Subsection activity module (mod_subsection) is disabled on this site. Enable it in Site administration > Plugins > Activity modules > Manage activities and try again.
To use subsections, first enable Subsection in Site administration > Plugins > Activity modules > Manage activities, and then check Enable subsections.
Allow importing into an existing course
Lets AI course creators import a generated course into an existing course instead of creating a new one. See Import into an existing course.
Import content mode
Defines how the generated content is imported into the copy of the target course. It is only shown while Allow importing into an existing course is checked. See Import into an existing course.
Import execution
Defines how the import into the existing course runs once the course has been generated. It is only shown while Allow importing into an existing course is checked. See Import into an existing course.
