Installation

Tutor AI can be installed in two ways: uploading a ZIP (recommended) or manual installation.

  1. Log in to Moodle as an administrator and go to:
    Site administration → Plugins → Install plugins
  2. Upload the ZIP file that contains the plugin source. Moodle should only request extra details if it cannot detect the plugin type automatically.
  3. Check the validation report and finish the installation.

✅ Expected result: Moodle completes the installation and Tutor AI becomes available under Local plugins.

Option 2: Installing manually​

  1. Copy the plugin source into your Moodle installation folder:
{your/moodle/dirroot}/local/dttutor
  1. Visit Site administration → Notifications to complete the installation.

Alternatively, run the CLI upgrade tool if you prefer the command line:

php admin/cli/upgrade.php

✅ Expected result: the upgrade completes without errors and Tutor AI is installed.

Next step (required)​

After installing, complete the Datacurso AI Provider setup, including the webservice configuration, otherwise Tutor AI will show error_webservice_not_configured.
